On Episode 12 of the podcast, we covered the 1981 Slasher, Final Exam. To celebrate the Slasher genre, we all created a “Top Slashers” list. Brad decided to leave out the “obvious” choices like Halloween and the original Friday the 13th. Here is Brad Henderson’s Top 10 Slashers!

ScreamCast Lists: Top Slashers (Part 2: Brian Saur’s List)

On Episode 12 of the podcast, we covered the 1981 Slasher, Final Exam. To celebrate the Slasher genre, we all created a “Top Slashers” list. Here is Brian Saur’s Top 10 Slashers!

The Monkey’s Paw [Blu-ray]

The Monkey’s Paw is a well known Victorian Era story written by W. W. Jacobs in 1902. It was a story I’d heard around many campfires as a kid and has been one of my favorite stories since. It doesn’t surprise me that someone would want to make this into a genre film and in 2013, ChillerTV gave The Monkey’s Paw it’s own film adaptation.

ScreamCast Lists: Top Slashers (Part 1: Sean Duregger’s List)

On Episode 12 of the podcast, we covered the 1981 Slasher, Final Exam. To celebrate the Slasher genre, we all created a “Top Slashers” list. Since this “Best” list was so jam packed with titles, I’ve decided to split them up. Below is my list from the show. Look for Brian Saur and Brad Henderson’s lists over the next couple of days.

ScreamCast17: Prince Of Darkness

Green goo, Alice Cooper and The Devil consume our thoughts as we talk John Carpenter’s Prince Of Darkness with special guest “The Wolfman.” Also, we unveil a new show theme courtesy of The Wolfmen Of Mars and our “T0p 5 John Carpenter Flicks!”

ScreamCast Lists: Top Wes Craven Films

Around Episode 11 of the ScreamCast Podcast, Brad Henderson had the idea that we all contribute “Top 5” or “Top 10” lists during the show. Until now, we haven’t posted them because we wanted them fresh for the episode. From now on, we will take those top lists, remove the duplicate titles and post an all inclusive “Top List.”

On Episode 11, John Portanova (The Invoking) was our special guest and we covered Wes Craven’s insane DEADLY BLESSING. Here is our list of Top Wes Craven Films*.

The Slumber Party Massacre [Blu-ray]

The Slumber Party Massacre was a VHS that always teased from the video store shelf as I’d sneak into the Horror section as a kid while my dad would peruse the Science Fiction section. This forbidden fruit would allude me through High-school and college and I’d soon forget about the film and it’s subsequent sequels. Enter Shout Factory. Their Roger Corman Collection DVD release of The Slumber Party Massacre I, II and III were an immediate buy for me the day the set was released. Finally, after all these years I had finally caught up with these exploitative gems. Now, with Scream Factory’s Blu-ray release of the first film, we can see the massacre in all it’s hi-def glory from a newly minted print.

Scream Factory To Release SQUIRM Collector’s Edition Blu-ray!

Scream Factory surprised us today with the title announcement of SQUIRM! A 1976 “Nature Gone Bad” horror flick about killer worms directed by Jeff Lieberman. I’m still holding out that someone will eventually give SLUGS a Blu-ray shot, but I’m on board with this.

ScreamCast16: Night Of The Demons

Brad and Sean had the privilege to speak to the Scream Queen herself Linnea Quigley about Scream Factory’s Blu-ray release of NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, her career, and Linnea’s attempt to save her family home.
