THE CONJURING 2 Has a Blu-ray Release Date! Art and Details Revealed.

The horror hit of the summer is come to home video really soon! Warner Bros. has already set a release date for James Wan’s THE CONJURING 2! The sequel to the 2013 box-office hit, which sees the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as real-life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, will be available to own on Blu-ray on September 13th! THE CONJURING 2 also stars Frances O’Connor, Simon McBurney, and Shannon Kook.


Awhile ago, we told you that Mondo Macabro were prepping a Blu-ray release of the film PRIVATE VICES, PUBLIC VIRTUES, the controversial 1975 feature by filmmaker by Miklos Jancso. You can read about the background on the film HERE. Now the details of the upcoming release are here. PRIVATE VICES, PUBLIC VIRTUES will be available to buy as a limited edition Blu-ray (“one thousand numbered pieces”) on August 22nd, with pre-orders beginning on July 29th. A retail edition Blu-ray is slated for October.

Disc of the Week: ROAD GAMES (1981)

Originally released on DVD in the States by Anchor Bay and out of print for nearly a decade, Richard Franklin’s ROAD GAMES (1981) is given new life on disc thanks to Australian outfit Umbrella Entertainment. While you will still need to pay for some extra shipping to import the disc, according to Umbrella’s website this release is region free. I own their previous release of RAZORBACK and that indeed plays fine on region A players, so you should feel safe ordering this edition if you’re in the U.S.

Just because you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean that they really aren’t out to get you. Right? The country is filled with people that harbor conspiracy theories and sightings of alien life forms. Scream Factory Announce 13 New Titles at San Diego Comic Con!

Well, it’s San Diego Comic Con weekend. And for us horror fans, that means a whole new batch of Blu-ray announcements from Scream Factory. This year, the label has revealed a whopping 13 titles planned for release in the coming months, with November being the earliest some of these will roll out.

Reel Gore Releasing Announces Limited Edition Blu-ray of Andreas Marschall’s MASKS

Reel Gore Releasing have announced the home video details of their second release: MASKS, the 2011 feature by German filmmaker, Andreas Marschall (GERMAN ANGST). The film stars Susen Ermich, Magdalena Ritter, Julita Witt, and Norbert Losch. It will be issued as a 3-disc Limited Edition in the U.S. on September 13th.
